Streets

Limb Removal

Limbs can be taken to the county compost yard located at 3702 S 175 E, Princeton.

The city can take down addresses to pick up limbs but the schedule is as time allows. Limbs longer than 6 feet must be cut into smaller pieces.

Snow Removal

The City's priority during snow events is to keep Emergency Routes open and passable. Once those are maintainable, all other street will be cleared.

These Emergency Routes are:

  • Third and Fifth Ave. from Broadway to the hospital
  • Brumfield Ave. and overpass, S Main St. and overpass
  • Second Ave. from Broadway to McCarty Rd.
  • Spring St. from Broadway to Main St. continuing east on Mulberry

As the City crews plow snow off the streets it is IMPOSSIBLE to not plow snow into driveway entrances. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The State of Indiana (INDOT) is responsible for plowing Highway 41, Highway 65 and Highway 64.

Large & Bulk Trash Removal

Bulk item tags can be purchased in the water billing department for $5.00 per tag.  Bulk item collection days will be scheduled as they are needed. After you purchase the proper tag(s) and your items are ready for pick-up, call to have your items placed on the collection list, 812-386-1333.

The city will NOT pick up construction/roofing materials, tires, LP tanks, and other materials subject to refusal by the landfill.
